IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
ATTENTION CURRENT ELEMENTARY PARENTS (UPDATED 4/29) :

As we enter the 4th and final quarter of our school year, we are also preparing for our new school year 2008-09 !

The electronic orientation is currently online under the Elementary tab. You must be logged in to view the orientation. If you are having ANY problems, contact the webmaster by clicking on the shark to the right of this announcement. We ask that you promptly view this orientation to familiarize yourself with the new changes that will be implemented next school year. I trust that you will be pleased with some of the opportunities as they have come about as a result of suggestions made by you, our parents.
After viewing the electronic session, we ask that you print out and complete the MBTA Agreement and mail it in to our office. This will assure your child's continued enrollment.
If we do not receive this Agreement from you by May 30th, we will assume that you will no longer be continuing with Thompson Academy and release documents will be prepared for your child's exit.
(If you intend to homeschool independently, you are requested by law to file a form 4140, or an "Intent to Homeschool" with your district school.)

As a reminder to all returning and exiting families, non-consummable materials purchased this year or borrowed from the Resource Room must be returned between now and June 30, 2008. A list of your non-consummables may be obtained from Ms. Vargas at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please call or e-mail her for a drop-off appointment, as well. No extensions will be made to use materials beyond the June 30th deadline and into the summer. All materials must be returned on your appointment date.

Please be aware that you will be precluded from ordering materials for the new school year, if non-consummables from the current year have not been returned.

We look forward to a smooth transition into the new school year. Please assist us in our mission to provide excellence and equity in education for your children.

Mahalo nui,
K. Ka'apana-Aki
Vice-Principal
